The Followers
The Followers is the newest musical project of ex-Telecast frontman and songwriter Josh White. Featuring a rotating cast of musicians backing him up, it was inspired by a drive to create a new movement of Christian worship music, bridging a gap between 60’s and 70’s soul and rock music, and more modern indie and americana.
The outcome is very wide-ranged and diverse – the first, self-titled, album is a collection of densely produced, atmospheric and electronic-tinged rock songs. The follow up, 2012’s “Wounded Healer”, is a throw-back to Jesus Movement-era worship music, incorporating soul, gospel, and vintage folk-rock (which we have dubbed “Neo-Gospel”!).
